• Evaluates lower extremity muscle strength and motor skills
  
  
• Develops an individualized exercise and rehabilitation program geared toward maintaining existing motor function
  
  
• Evaluates and implements orthotics devices, neck supports, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs
  
  
• Recommends equipment for the home that will ensure patient safety and mobility
  
  
• Discusses activity modification, energy conservation, and work simplification with the patient
