Lumbar Puncture

Lumbar Puncture (LP), also known as a spinal tap, evaluates the cerebral spinal fluid for the presence of any inflammation or immunological reaction in the nervous system. This is a widely-used non-invasive test to evaluate physiological integrity or disease process of the central nervous system.
